Which wide receiver from the Cincinnati Bengals is ranked second in terms of speed?
Football is one of the most popular and electrifying sports in the world; the speed of the players is one of the most important aspects. As the 2022 NFL season approaches, we’ve taken the time to rank the ten fastest players, according to the latest data from sources such as Next Gen Stats, NFL Next Gen Stats, and other reliable sources.
Topping the list is Tyreek Hill, the Wide Receiver on the Kansas City Chiefs. Hill ran a 40-yard dash in 4.29 seconds, which firmly establishes him as the fastest player in the league. He has been a key factor in the Chiefs’ recent Super Bowl win in 2020.
Following close behind Hill is John Ross III, the wide receiver on the Cincinnati Bengals. His incredible speed landed him the second spot on the list, running a 40-yard dash in 4.22 seconds during the combine.
Trailing Ross is Parris Campbell, the wide receiver of the Colts, who ran a 4.31 40-yard dash. Campbell is a valuable asset to the Colts’ offense and has shown that he has the ability to be a dynamic playmaker this upcoming season.
Rounding out the top five fastest NFL players are Denver Broncos safety Essang Bassey (4.35 40), San Diego Chargers receiver Joe Reed (4.37 40), and Kansas City Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman (4.38 40).
The sixth spot belongs to Oakland Raiders cornerback Damarious Randall, who clocked in with a 4.40 40. Randall’s impressive top speed allows him to keep up with the speedy wide receivers he is tasked with guarding in the Las Vegas Raiders’ secondary.
Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker follows with a 4.45 second 40-yard dash, just ahead of Rams running back Malcolm Brown’s 4.48 time. Broncos wideout K.J. Hamler grabbed the ninth spot with a 4.46 second 40-yard dash, and Kansas City Chiefs receiver Demarcus Robinson rounded out the list with a 4.48 second time.
These 10 players have the power to not just outrun their opponents, but to give their teams a dynamic and game-changing edge. We can’t wait to watch these fast players in action in the 2022 NFL season next year.
